the MOST beautiful patient I ever had, in my entire career, was one who presented with a hunk of tarter, calculus, extending from her eye tooth all the way back to her last molar, all one piece and about 1/2 inch thick.
When we removed it, there was no soft tissue under it...just bare bone

but, she sure was beautiful (from a distance)
