Any part of one’s body that would die if removed is not “alive”. An egg, sperm, zygote, cell mass, embryo, and fetus is not “alive”. All this is during the first trimester. Some argue that it’s alive in the second trimester, but even then it can’t survive outside of its host. Roe allows for regulating abortion in the second and third trimesters.

The religious wingnuts (= white male evangelists mostly) want to ban it all together based on their religious belief that life begins at conception. The also want to ban contraception, such as the IUD as its an effective abortion of a zygote. No exceptions ban on abortion. So it’s not Ok to harvest organs from a corpse without its permission, but it’s ok to force a 12 year old rape & incest victim to carry a baby to term. This is imposing your RELIGIOUS beliefs on others. Keep them to yourselves…
