Everybody keeps saying we have to bounce because the Fear/Greed Index is showing single digits, the AAII sentiment gauge is showing too many bears and not enough bulls but if you think about it, it wouldn't be real fear if everyone is still trying to time a bottom.
What people say in a survey vs what they are doing in real life are two separate things. When the stock picking threads stop buying, the perma-bull thread goes quiet, that's when we will be near a bottom.
Posting the CNN fear/greed index 5 times a day doesn't do anything either -ggg-
