My point is the religious right have a legitimate bone to pick -- even though you and I may not be religious we do need to respect that religious people do exist.

OTOH, there is no legitimate need for unrestricted abortion. It is more of a symbol -- a battle cry -- than it is any other purpose. They could just as easily say "My body, my choice" about their demands for cheaper Marlboros.

The religious right at least as a legitimate complaint that their beliefs are being infringed upon.

"My body, my choice" is not a belief. It is a rallying cry for which a case is still not made. When a significant number of Americans believe abortion is an abomination why should people just be irritants. If you have a case to be made, then make it.
