You confirm what has been rumoured: the M.O. has sold his shares to finance exercising his options (I thought you said he has sold all the shares that he had - including struck options.). Anyways, whether you minimize the income tax hit by exercising early or take a later hit on capital gains, the difference is only 25% +/- risk; the nice thing about options is that they're exactly that: an option. I'm still not clear on how anyone can be so certain as to who holds what when there's all this offshore trading going on . . .
