This is exactly how I set some of my GTC buy targets. I assess the future business conditions. Then I look at the stock valuations when the conditions were the similar. I put in my GTC buy orders accordingly. Right now I am assuming TNX will peak ~3.5%. Could it go to 4% or 5%? Anything, even negatively priced oil, is possible in the markets. But that is not the way to invest. So I am working based on 3.5% peak TNX. Then I look at how various stocks did when TNX was there. The result was that I bought AMZN the day before yesterday. If it drops another 10%, which it might, then I will double my AMZN holdings. Double them again if it hits 1700.
