Every battle is important, but strategically, I think this will be a war of attrition.

We know the Kremlin cares little about the human cost, but what remains to be seen is how casualties being more and more known by their population impact their decisions moving forward.

I think they would love to get their hands on Odessa before declaring victory, but the reality of bombing Odessa into Mariaopol II may not be achievable without a high human cost. The city has had weeks to prepare, they will have to fight block by block and destroy practically every living thing.

What a tragedy! They should just leave now, save all those lives and declare Nazi purge done.
