That is the problem with replacing news with propaganda - after a while, no one trusts anything they’re told. Erosion of public trust is corrupting - in everything - and always.

Since the very beginning, the “consensus” of western experts and journalists was that Russia’s performance in this war was abysmal - they were loosing, failing, getting demolished. Several tens of billions of dollars later, they’re still standing.

NYT is tricky. It’s possible the Russian operation “could” end in failure. What they’re really saying is that the Russians may be winning (but “could” end in failure).

Of course. It ain’t over until it’s over.
