RE: KGO etc.
I appreciate your opinion, and since I have several alternative radio stations to pick from, will refrain from e-mailing KGO anymore. But, could this simply be a case poor "placement" of commercials, e.g., some uninformed engineer programming the commercials to play at predetermined times, regardless of the context of the feed from ABC? Maybe I'm naive....
I, like Kirk, however, have been a loyal listener for many, many years -- still listen in the AM drive, even though I live in Sacramento. HOWEVER, I still find it amazing that moneytalk listeners in the Bay Area must tolerate such behavior. Judging from the list of stations that carry moneytalk (on BB's web-site - there are dozens across the country) it would seem that plenty of stations would jump at the chance to replace the KGO flamethrower, and capture that lucrative Bay Area market.
Anyway..are other posters in different parts of the country satisfied with their stations?? If not, what if anything has proven effective?
But, to use a money-related metaphor, would Bob Brinker tolerate a mutual fund that returned 20 percent when the SP500 returned 30 percent. Not unless he saw clear evidence of a turnaround.
