>>> In Fiscal year 1997 they released 7 titles and made 120 million on a average of 235,000 titles sold for each title(number might not be exact for average of titles.. but very close..I'm going from memory..the exact number was stated in last years mprs ending results) <<<
In a case like this it would be very useful to know if that average was median or mean.
Also, how much of the money was for the '95 and '96 titles and other 'classics'. I think there is a line of older titles that retails for around 20 bucks, even less if you get them in a 'pack' of several titles. Also, what was the biggest hit, and what did they gross and net on it.
I know you might not have this info, but you always publish the best statistics, so I thought I'd ask.
With productions costing 1-3 million dollars any more, plus marketing costs and so forth, break even is probably a couple hundred thousand units +- 50%, not counting share of company fixed costs, commissions, admin, and so on. Do you agree? |
