Jules - I agree 100%. This is going to be a tough couple
of months emotionally. It's hard to take. The scenario
that you paint is setting up to make INTC the standout stock
of 1997. Unfortunately its the beginning of 1996 and this
market punishes real or implied shortfalls with vicious kicks
to the groin. I am fully convinced on the scenario for the
Pentium Pro -NT scenario. I am convinced that the new low prices
on pentiums will scare up a lot of business. Next christmas
will be a sensational season for PCs. The mmx will revolutionize
architectures and further lower costs and increase performance.
The only thing I am really afraid of long term is that just as
INTC starts to blast out growth earnings that are sensational
(like $5-$6 eps) the overall market will tank after the
presidential election. But predicting elections that far in
advance is even tougher than predicting market moves.
I have no advice on prices cause I never have been any good
at picking bottoms or tops. I still hold out for $100 in
1997. By the way, I think all this talk of low cost internet
terminals is going to turn into a fizzle. With $2000 buying a
superb PC there's little attraction in going online for everything
I need from a PC. Just my opinion and I've been wrong before.

Good luck. I'm keeping the faith.
