Good stuff.

Am already taking actions to put my Crypto House in order. Moving tokens here and there. Trimming positions where necessary to position my self for what looks like the inevitable onslaught. The thing is these things never happen on an expected schedule, a characteristic of the stock market, and the value of Cypto is currently tightly bound to that. Not sure how long it will remain so.

I have managed to do some things on MINA like get safe and secure “key pairs” but still have some more to do before I am satisfied I can move all my allocation into a suitably constructed wallet. There are some aspects about MINA I really like, and even if the MINA horse falls at one of the many fences, something like it could be a big winner. A low tech network really does make my heart sing. There are various platforms that can be used including Windows plus Docker, I tried that first but it was hopeless for me. I watched the techno nerds do their stuff effortlessly on utube but I was helpless. Then I tried Ubuntu, the nearest thing to DOS, and managed to get that going. I even was able to spot and fix the errors in the instructions after a while. That is progressing well. Learning all sorts of stuff that should translate onto other things. I may well look into Casper in more detail at some point.

The processing capacity of even yesterday’s mobiles is truly amazing. I am sure that’s all we really need on a global basis, and some servers. If ordinary people are running the financial side of things, even if they have to be a bit tech savvy, I suspect that will be an optimized system and a good competitive arrangement. As soon as the experts and gurus get involved, and we wonder off into deep mystery land, that is when corruption becomes a temptation and things get complicated. Making things unnecessarily complicated is a dubious practice as I see things. That was drew me to MINA at the outset, but there are possibly some big flaws in it that may/(may not) be fixable. .

The rest of my Crypto Portfolio should be taken care of by Monday at the latest. If the Crypto Exchanges can remain financially buoyant till then I will be a happy camper. If they keel over before then, sure I will be looking at some losses, but in real terms they might be marginal depending how low things go... it's stuff I would have held on too ! -g-

Any new technology needs some functional testing under extreme conditions. If it happens, it happens. Then we will see where we are at.

This the closest we come to the "Charge of the Light Brigade" these days, its two circuits. Not many realise the Light Brigade had to charge back again after making the initial charge. Although there are no cannon balls or grapeshot, it's not just the horses that are at risk.
