Thank you for that excellent and perspicacious detailing of Virtuous Victorian Values.

The political/social facts of the multitude of people who made that time great were not all to be repeated now. Such as Jack the Ripper. And a lot more besides. But the good parts still need emulating and adopting.

USA USA USA took over from where the great and glorious British Empire stopped. USA became even more great and glorious. Which does not mean My Lai was to be emulated. Nor the other multitudes of evil promulgated as a terrible part of what USA was. But overall the greater and more glorious USA Empire adopted VVV writ large, thanks to Great Britain and the British Empire which produced it.

It's currently fashionable to denigrate both England of Victorian times and USA now. Throwing out the baby with the bath water is a bad idea.

Hooray for the great and glorious British Empire and the USA too.

But now the two are joined in evil in Ukraine and elsewhere.

They have now led us to death's door via nuclear Armageddon which is a horrendous situation. I can see why India, China and a lot more besides are not going along with it.

An immediate solution is needed, and it's obvious what that should be. But not to the loony militaristic MADness people foaming at the mouth to stop Mr Putin from conquering the long gone USSR territories, which he obviously had and has no intention of doing.

In 20 years of being in charge, he constantly tried to achieve partnership, to little effect.

The USA kept up constant pressure to debilitate Russia with Zbig and PNAC in the vanguard. The coup, murdering, bribery and corruption in Ukraine went too far to tolerate.

The attack has also resulted in the great strategic failure of pushing Russia into the possession of China. Gas going east instead of west, and a lot more besides.
