That's right Dan, it funds employee benefits, big difference. IBM should have taken thier share buyback program funds and found a way to produce thier own NT 4.0, marketing push and all.
Do you think MSFT would have been worth what it is now if they put their NT development dollars into a share repurchase program? You also need to talk to your accountant about options theory, the liability would not produce a loss, if they were accounted for properly.
