Pre-IPO GS was something truly unique. It is unfortunate that they felt they have to change. But the change actually made the company more internally ethical as they fostered a culture of putting the good of the company ahead of the individual profits. It was a remarkable change that I did not believe they could pull off, but they did. Like I said, you have to understand the nature of the animal you are dealing with. My super polite dog still licked herself in public. Her good manners were good doggie manners, not human manners.
