Good morning longhorn.

You just taught me something - fertilizer on a fruit tree!

Last spring I planted 6 cherry trees, five apple, two pear and one Italian plum. They all made it thru the winter and have been pruned. My apple trees are blooming very nicely. I built up a mulch based before planting them. You add the manure to the base of the tree. Do you cover it with mulch or just let it work down into the ground?

Have little cherries growing!

Finally got some asparagus root planted. It will take next year before it yields something to eat.

Tilling in compost and peat moss in all six raised garden beds. We bought plants for our tomatoes this year. Decided the 1250 mile drive was too hard on fragile plants. Decided to plant seeds for the jalapeno and serrano peppers. l used to seed them in Texas and transport them. Poor things got used to 85 to 95 degrees in my green house down there. Then I'd plant them in Wisconsin and the 40 degree weather at nights just put them in a dormancy stage for the next 30 days. Peppers love the heat.

Still have to till 4 more raised beds and mow some wildly long grass.

I'll be caught up by weekend. Then I'm going to start my old cars and get them ready to run the roads. Wash and wax and cover them up.

Need to make room for my Nomad which is all but complete now.

Love this spring time in Wisconsin. most flowers yet to bloom. Some trees still budding out, mornings cool and easy to stay in bed for the last 15 minutes.

Wishing you some rain!

Amen to that GO COHU!

Bob
