I think it is a case where the Japanese elites (the same grouping that started WWII) know full well that w/o the US, they would be done in by neighbors.

I am guessing that the minute either S Korea or Japan go nuclear, the other would go nuclear.

That time should be soon enough, because N Korea not waiting.

The last thing Japan wants to see is reunification of the two Koreas.

The situation in Asia is likely no less complicated than the state of ‘is’ in Europe and Middle East
