It largely was unprovoked aggression that was a one man decision by a dictator. So its not hard for honest people to claim that and even be correct in that claim. Even if you accept all the claims in that article (and I don't but I'll go with it for the sake of argument) it doesn't amount to much of an argument directly against that point.
