A few months later with many thousands dead, maimed, terorized and traumatized, and megatons of destruction done, your pre-war sollution would have been a very good choice for the Ukrainian Kievans if not their American profiteer and megalomaniac bosses.
The American citizens have now banked yet another big financial loss, with grave risk of tipping over to empire collapse, not just due to their war on Russia, but following on from other gargantuan blundering kleptocratic bribery and corruption, self-dealing, and economic destruction over decades. Choosing DementiaJoe10% and Cocaine Hunter instead of Donald Trump the Great, was stupid and self-destructive = probably the last straw.
It's likely now that eastern Ukraine won't even be made into independent countries but simply become part of Russia. Bad move Kiev and USA. But a good outcome.
Given the viciousness of Kievans, the USA, Herr Gruppenfuhrer Stoltengberg, Ursula, Liz Truss, Azovs, Scholtz, Boris, Julia it would make sense for Russia to annex the whole of Ukraine as punishment for the attacks against Russia Russia Russia for decades.
Joining China, India and Rest of World looks like a better choice for Russians.
Russia tried to join Eurostan/USA but was rejected and kicked in the bum on the way out the door, while still taking their cheap gas, oil, wheat and whatnot. Now Russia has to sell to China - who are very happy to buy and extend their eastern border all the way to NATO's edge. Dumb for the USA and Euroserfs to have caused that, but stupidity is normal so it's not really all that surprising.
USA, UK, Germany, France and co-conspirators have to have really gone off the rails to have me support Putin and Russia rather than them and that damned Klaus Schwab gang of crooks and megalomaniacs. You were right. Prescient. But on the bright side of life, it seems that Kievans and USA/NATO will be defeated without Russia having to go MAD = that will be a fantastic outcome. No nuclear war. Not safe yet, but looks maybe so. Russia must have given USA a man to man talk about MAD, red lines, in private.
USA probably hoped to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian make $billions in profits for Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, bank megabucks in kickbacks and keep blugeoning Russia for years in Ukraine. It did look like a trap where that would be achieved, but now it seems Russians have got the conventional mlitary wherewithal to hold the line unless there's a direct USA/NATO attack from Norway to the Black Sea.
