So, if I understand correctly, you recognize that a problematic process was taking place, but you don’t think it was at a point when there was no alternative to war.

But, in fairness, the Russians kept saying that if Ukraine continues on track towards nato membership, they’d go to war.

Hopefully, they won’t blow up the world - in which case future historians will try sorting it out. Good luck to them.
