Why do Republicans think using a drug siezure at the border- meaning the drugs didn't get into the country, and the system is working- is good politics for them?

1,292 pounds of fentanyl—which killed more than 100,000 Americans last year—was seized at our southern border in April—a more than 420% increase compared to April 2020. This is a crisis, and Biden needs to address it now.

[ Maybe we should be asking why Trump let so much fentanyl get into the US? If Biden could stop these drugs getting in, why couldn't Trump? ]
