It really will be interesting how well the cacheless PII performs...

Under Winstone97 business, the cacheless PII-266 should perform similarly to Pentium MMX 200. In reality, the cacheless PII-266 should be slower than a PMMX 166 when the cache hit succeeds or misses.

However, it is a great marketing concept. The clock speed Mhz under the name of Intel with PII trademark will sell the cacheless PII-266 to the public very well. Intel success came from marketing, not the chip performance.

In spit of its poor performance, the cacheless PII-266 is a great marketing strategy from Intel.
