Science = objective reality that can be observed, reproduced and is repeatable, by others, despite the fact that there's apparently an arrow of time, meaning reality cannot be rewound, repeated, reproduced. But it can be, near enough for government work, for the most part, unless it can't. Science and engineers have created the world and it's very real. There really are A380s flying 10km high at 1000 km per hour for 10,000 kilometres with 1000 people able to be carried. Only 100 years ago the Tiger Moth was hot stuff. Now we have mobile Cyberspace and the near-far problem is not more with QUALCOMM having breached the laws of physics [inside joke].
