<Here are the costs of a battery replacement for some popular electric vehicles (EVs):

....after many months, I finally was ready to attempt to drive again........not unsurprisingly, the battery in my 2017 Honda Fit (6 speed manual) was dead after nearly 6 years of use..........figuring it was time.......I had a new battery delivered and my neighbor helped me install it..........total cost less than $200..........unfortunately, after some very limited driving, I don't think I can safely drive it any more as I don't have enough feeling on the bottom of my left foot to adequately feel the clutch......probably will have to trade it in for an automatic......dam.....I love that car.....in a trip 3 years ago to Chicago and back, I averaged 40 mpg in 6th gear all the way.....believe it or not, I will get my first fill up tomorrow since May 2021
