Here's a little calculation. Edwards said EPS would be about .16 in the first qtr. The guy's making predictions on EPS? Larry Edwards? That's got to be conservative. First, add in the .05 for the plant closing to get a feel for operating earnings. That's .21. Now adjust for the fewer shares, i.e., multiply by 6.2/8.5, to get .15. That's 15 cents vs 9 cents (97) for the first qtr, very conservatively, taking into account the smaller # of shares. That's 67% growth. With a ttm PE of 10 or 11, I'll take those odds. Larry didn't say anything about Asia. I'm guessing he believes there is no real problem there--as far as he can see. Best, Wade
