Tuesday Update: I'm not swinging for the 50% fence much these days, but I have recently made nice 2 - 4 point gains in ATLPA, TMBS and KLIC. I'm looking to rebuy TMBS a point underneath my selling price, since the charts suggests it could pull back before the next move up. If I don't get it, I've still locked in a nice profit for a couple of weeks' investment.

GEMS - earnings due out after the close on Wednesday. Holding a chunk from 12 3/4 and looking for at least two points here, too.

SYNT - I've watched this occasionally since its IPO in August. Just booked a big contract with Blue Cross after beating earnings last December. SYNT takes a realistic approach to Y2K work; they have lots of bodies and offshore outsourcing to their company in India. The end of the IPO lockup this month could be a problem but SYNT could also be poised to follow CBSL, CHRZ and others to a much higher range. I will play a small bet. Most of the IPO shares are held by insiders, not underwriters.

Also looking at VANS. I don't normally invest in shoe companies but this came to me in an E-mail alert and it looks overly beaten down. Tempting chart gap back up to 12. Again, worth a small play if I get my entry price.

Good luck to all.
