By the looks of it another annexation of Donbas/Luhansk regions is looming. I have seen independent journalists asking people in Crimea whether they want to be Russia or Ukraine. Russia is overwhelmingly the answer. Donbas/Luhansk will be the same. People just want to speak and educate their children in their historic language, which happens to be Russian in that part of the country because the border between Russia and Ukraine did not exist in Soviet Union (or old Russia), Ukraine was a part of bigger Russia. I don’t think Ukrainians had correct policies toward national minorities, they should not have discriminated against their 46% of ethnic Russians. They did discriminate, so these people naturally want out to live in Russia. That said, it should not be Russia’s business, but it is.
