I disagree. Why should Excel jump into uncharted, unproven, profitless ventures to please Wall Street? If I read correctly, not many companies are making much of a profit in PCS, DBS, local phone (ATT lost over 1B in the last two years (Fortune 2/98).

You see, what Excel does better than anyone is gather LOYAL customers. My Mom, two sisters, two brothers, 8 friends, and a few people I do business with know that if they leave me I won't get paid. Someone will have to pay them a whole lot of money to stab me in the back.

When Excel does bring on these products, and they will, my customers are already in place and will "buy" these products that they are already using from someone else. So will all the "Moms" in my organization. And, more than likely a large % of all the 4 million "Moms" of the Excel reps.

Excel is now just 500,000 customers shy of passing Sprint as the third largest residential carrier in the US. How are they doing that I wonder? Do you suppose they will stop their growth there?

I wonder why Excel went to the trouble of opening their own bank -
biz.yahoo.com
- with what Bill Gates and Microsoft says has the most advanced computers and software in the world for exchanging every known traded currency into dollars and vice versa?

However, I do understand, that although Excel is traded on the most prestigious board in the world, and is licensed in all 50 states as a public utility, the company is probably a scam and a pyramid - and makes all of its money from the outrageous fees independent representatives pay when they start their own businesses.

Which of course, can't last too much longer. After all, there can't be too many more people dumb enough to want to work for themselves, with unlimited income ceiling, no downside, no investment (to speak of) and the support of a 2 billion dollar corporation traded on the NYSE.

Especially when the work is extremely difficult - like asking a few friends and family to try your service at 10 cents all the time and finding a few others as dumb as you - and teaching them to do the same thing! It does make one wonder. Just how many dumb people are there in America? Or Canada? Or Mexico? Or Australia? UK? China?

And by the way - The two friends I have with commercial accounts, who were more than happy to allow me to compare Excel's new commercial rates? The $800 account saved 26%. The $12,000 account saved 22%. They like Excel. So do I.

Have a great week!
