Bear market can have numerous 90% downside days.

Yes, this is what capitulation looks like, especially in a bull market, when investors are scared into selling at the lows.

How is it different today?

For starters as ugly as today was relative strength on daily charts for the major averages has not reached 30 yet. I expect further lows.

I remember the October 2002 to March of 2003 bottom. Volume was practically non existent. It took two years to get to that bottoming process.

That may not happen at all this time. The bottom could happen tomorrow. I doubt it. If it does you will see a 90% upside day in the data I share in the Briefing.com post tomorrow.
