Do we actually know what 'our' sentience is? I think a suitably crafted AI algorithm can be just as sentient as we are. The question of a soul is another debate, however. IMO we're just 'sentient' organic intelligence.

If we make the logical statement that all humans are sentient,

then compared to some humans, AI has likely achieved sentience.

Let's start by looking at the current "leader" of the United States...
