Kvaerner Process Invests Over 1.6 Million Dollars in DOCUMENTUM
EDMS Licenses in Q3 1997

Company-Wide Deployment Projected to Yield Over 11 Million Dollars in Annual Savings

PLEASANTON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 10, 1998-- DOCUMENTUM(R) Inc. (NASDAQ:DCTM - news),
the world leader in delivering document and Web content management solutions, today announced that Kvaerner Process,
part of Kvaerner, entered into an agreement in the third quarter of 1997 to purchase several thousand DOCUMENTUM
Enterprise Document Management System(TM)(EDMS) licenses.

The value of the purchase is over 1.6 million dollars.

Kvaerner Process, a world leader in technology-based design, engineering, construction and project management services
for a wide range of industries, has entered into large-scale deployment of EDMS in all its offices worldwide. It identifies the
main benefits of EDMS adoption to include reduced project duration, with potential savings conservatively estimated at
more than 11 million dollars per year when fully implemented.

It also sees EDMS adoption as a key enabler for the implementation and enforcement of common working practices and a
key factor in the reduction of business risk.
