The losses we're now seeing emerge are moving vastly beyond those historical norms. It's NOT the end of the world. OTOH, every few hundred years destructive group behavior patterns seem to congregate & cluster together impacting a succession of generations. The Hundred Years War (1337 - 1453) when Europe lost 1/3 to 1/2 of it's population from combined impact of War, Plague & Economic Collapse is my worst case scenario. Things probably won't get that bad.. But hey. Our ancestors all survived that and subsequently prospered. Otherwise we wouldn't be here discussing the over & under of what's ahead.
