Semiconductors are not leading the market upward yet.

I would differ on that view.

Les H provides daily stats on Macd changes for semi and many other sectors - so I copy from his latest post. Note a severe drop of of advancing semi's to a very rare long list of zeros followed by a robust recent reversal:

Admittedly semi's have been slower to reverse, but the initial reversal may well have just happened.
