There is no way to mine the metals needed without causing a lot of carnage, as a matter of fact there are not enough known reserves of certain metals to even start test drilling. Some of the best funded exploration groups have come up completely empty in the first pass of finding new deposits. In most instances what has been found cannot be economically extracted due to hundreds of metres of overburden, in some cases thousands of metres
