It's fascinating to live through the 21st century equivalent to pre-World War I marching, to Doom, enthusiastically. After the smoke has cleared, the few survivors will say "Never Again", "We must find out why it happened so it never happens again", "Lest We Forget", blah blah blah. I wonder if, with Londonistan gone, and nearly everything else, as promised by Russia, the few survivors out in a submarine somewhere in the Atlantic will think, "Well, Boris and Liz certainly did a good job there".

Even passably intelligent people such as Ursula, Boris, Liz, Scholz, Stoltenberg, are gung ho for their own Doom, so while it might be ignorance, it's not stupidity. It's amazing. Groupthink, lockstep. All predicated on their imagined ability to mind-read Vladimir Putin = "He wants to take over all the old USSR territory, be a total totalitarian, and then take over the rest of Eurostan too". And their absurd idea that "Out of the blue, one day in Februrary, unprovoked, senseless, for no reason, Putin decided to invade the peace-loving pleasant Azov Ukrainians who were happily going about their lives producing wheat for the world."

Fortunately, the British public seem to be on to Boris, who they point out loves to go and hide in Kiev and give away tax payer loot - presumably getting a Cayman Islands kickback deposit for his post-PM wealthy lifestyle. Hunter and Joe Biden showed how much loot could be extracted in kickbacks = plenty. Shame about the Ukrainians but they are disposable it seems. Zelensky is keen to send more into the cauldrons.

It's notable that those keen for the war and hating Putin are universally ignorant about even the basics such as who Victoria Nuland is and what did Nobel Peace Prize Obama do in 2013?

And on the other side of the world, China seems to want to do the same over Formosa. All over a piece of paper. Mindless robots perhaps.

If Formosa did throw out that piece of paper and declared a new flag, new constitution, new buildings to house tax collectors and marched around in circles, maybe even goose-stepping, saluting and buying big guns and rockets and stuff from USA, the island would not move an inch. Cash flow from chip sales would remain identical. Employees would fly or sail to China to sell whatnots and buy this and that. Students would go to university in Shanghai to study engineering and whatnot.

Maybe China's bosses are worried that Americans would tell Taiwanese they are not allowed to sell things to China. Maybe Taiwanese would tell Americans to go to Hell.

A puzzle. Or maybe Emperor Pooh Xi is just a MAD megalomaniac and wants nothing but maximum rule of as much as possible to kill anyone he fancies at any time - some people have weird motivations. Maybe he's just like Boris Johnson and co-conspirators and wants a war for fun.

I can see that Hong Kong was more or less accidentally taken over because Margaret Thatcher said "We're pulling down the flag and you are going to be in charge" and a piece of paper said a lease was expired. "Oh well, I guess we're in charge then. What should we do?" "Well, let's march some soldiers in to make it look good and tell them they're now reporting to some functionary in Beijing".

Then bit by bit the Hong Kongese and Beijing bosses got to logger-heads and local yokels started to put up umbrellas and shout loudly, so the hammers in Beijing saw a bunch of nails in Hong Kong and started hammering them down.

What with MAD in Eurostan and MADDER in China, there could be a LOT of depopulation in the northern hemisphere very soon. Not that the south would be in the clear, but I guess most atomic bombs would be targeted at the enemies rather than Uruquay, Mauritius, Rarotonga, Zimbabwe, Norfolk Island, Pitcairn.

If we assume 10 megatons per bomb, with about 13,000 of them, that's a lot of towns and cities and airports and wharves and aircraft carriers and everything else obliterated, but it would still leave a LOT of places untouched in the hinterlands of the world. The dust cloud would form a cooling for a year or two or three. So it would be quite newsworthy and certainly something to commemorate in 100 years and say "Never again", "lest we forget" etc.

A good aspect would be that we'd not have to listen to Wokies going on about CO2 and millimetres of sea level rise, or QWERTY gender dysphoria, or how veganist gluten-free orthorexics are so much more moral than regular humans who scoff Big Macs and have BMI in the 30s and life expectancies in the 50s.

It's baffling why people don't want to just be happy, get along, enjoy life doing good things that other people like to earn money, and generally live lives of VVV. Bossiness seems to be a big part of it = too much chimp DNA = totalitarian alpha male syndrome = you will do as I say, all of your money are belong to me, or else.
