Pierre, Nice response. I disagree on a couple. I don't see that many sales of upper end pcs to individuals, not with the capabilities of lower end. And, remember, we are not talking just about selling more, but selling enough more to offset falling prices and produce a growth rate, in dollars, greater than that of the general economy. I don't see upgrades delivering anything like that right now.

I don't think you will ever sell as many pcs as tvs. Tvs are passive items. Pcs require active effort. As far as cars go, and American ones usually don't go very far -g-, they are a different game from entertainment/information devices. Just as you sell more grains of salt than you sell cars, the comparison isn't relevant. I think the comparison between tvs and pcs is relevant. You may disagree.

Where am I offbase on the gamers? Please explain the real difference in pricing and how the games are different? I own gaming software cos. and have traded them for years, and many of them produce the same game for different platforms, including pcs. The pc versions tend to be a lot less capable, IMHO. If I am totally wrong about what brain-dead teeny-boppers like, I would like to hear why. This is not doubting you, but a real request for info.

Look forward to hearing from you. BTW, how could you lose as much money on a 1/3 put positions on Dell and Compaq as you made on stocks like GZTC that quadrupled? And did you miss the jan of 1997 double on Compaq puts? The 1/3 Dell position was a loser and an orphan. Compaq was a breakeven, with one third totally lost and the other a double. Now, if you had followed me in Presstek on the way up, then you could have had a loser that matched long stock winners, and then some. -g- Fortunately, it all got well on Presstek in one swell foop.
