I dislike being lectured to. I think it's a matter of individual choice how we respond to postings. I may not like everything that some posters have to say (or the frequency with which they say it!) - but I believe you catch (educate) more flies.... Whenever I challenged viper in a reasonable tone, I received a civil answer. I suspect that if I descended to contemptuous dismissal or name-calling, the responses would be different. I think it was Woodrow Wilson who said that the best thing you can do with idiots is to encourage them to hire a hall and address their peers; nothing chills nonsense like exposure to air.
