I think he could have done better. But when the media will go to the extremes it did on this it is tough.

Recall the claim that he "mocked" Serge Kovaleski the "disabled" reporter. It has been shown that that did not occur, but a frame from a video stopped at the perfect point can mislead an entire country. Today, it is exacerbated by reliance on Youtube for these data points and they are anything BUT reliable.

We cannot expect presidents to be tech savvy at this point, but if he runs again he has to hire the right people who cannot be blindsided by this nonsense. He does avoid professionals in favor of unproven experts at times -- because professionals will argue with him about the best ways to do things. This can be a problem with someone who has run his own shows for 50 years, for sure (I might even be a little that way, myself, from what I've heard).

But I do think he has learned stuff over time.
