The IRS sent a letter to my home address. I'm not there, so the person at the address forwarded it to my current location. The letter never arrived. I want to ask the IRS to resent the missing letter.

So I've tried to call the IRS using the info in this web site.

support.taxslayerpro.com

When I get to the part where the IRS agent is supposed to pick up and answer the phone, and talk to me, I always get a recorded message that says "due to high volume of call the IRS cannot speak with you now, please call again".

I've gotten that message more than 10 times.

Any suggestions for how I can ask the IRS to resend the letter?
