Yeah, I think what Trump's trying to do here is to claim the high ground before DeSantis jumps in. Rumor last week was that Trump was going to get rolling early (as in "within weeks"). Sounds right, I would if I were in his shoes. Better for Trump to be making news than to have this bogus committee making it for him.

But it is almost diminutive against DeSantis to pop that VP reference out there.
