That’s not the point, the point is as viewed by Russian paranoia, what’s more likely to concern them? A nation with outdated fighter jets, or a nation with the most sophisticated fighter jets on the planet, with advanced radar avoiding electronics and the resources to buy more?
The answer is obvious. Finland and Sweden represent a far greater risk to Russia when viewed through the paranoid lens of “every NATO nation on our border is about to invade us”.
In regard to my son or grandson, no, I want to avoid war, but you don’t avoid war by pretending your enemy is unstoppable and whatever they demand should be given up without a fight. If Finland, Sweden and Ukraine want to fight to the death as a part of NATO against Russia invading, destroying and raping their women, fine by me.
As I’ve said before, America should let the neighbors of the crazy war mongering Russians deal with them. If they are too naive to pay 2% of their GDP for defense, while Russia is spending 20+ percent, they will eventually pay the price with subjugation and cities being razed to the ground.
This is a wake- up call to EU citizens who would prefer the world look like the Beatles song “Imagine”, instead of the way it truly exists. In the real world dictators like Putin send armies across borders and indiscriminately bomb women and children for land and resources.
I wish they would stop that and instead build a society similar to Finland and Sweden, but their people prefer tyrants, corruption and KGB killers as their leaders. |
