I want to avoid war, but you don’t avoid war by pretending your enemy is unstoppable and whatever they demand should be given up without a fight.
As far as the Ukr - Russia war, they don’t get anything without a fight. Ukrainians make them fight hard for every village, every line of trenches, every 100 meter stretch. Not to mention that they’ve spent 8 years building those fortifications under NATO guidance.

About Russian soldiers raping Ukrainian women - while you were away from SI, that was debunked. They had to fire some lady - a Ukrainian Gov employee - who admitted that she invented those stories - out of excess of patriotism, of course.

What happened is some foreign organizations wanted to help the victims of those rapes. They looked for them in Ukraine, but couldn’t find any. So, Zelensky had to fire that lady. I forget her name. But since then — no rapes took place, apparently. So far so good.
