Fear of military tribunals?

You have a very valid point - historically, such behavior was often considered “normal”.

But I have a strong feeling that the Russians want to keep the whole thing strictly professional. The propaganda and lies against them have been unprecedented. I can see how their generals wouldn’t want to give their enemies anything real to scream about.

In the first days of the war there was a creepy young Russian soldier who posted something saying he had sex with a minor - or underage, don’t recall. Last I heard, this person was in prison.
