Another thought... why were Democrats willing to put the nation into a recession with soaring inflation with the goal of pushing us to EVs that currently need coal (outside CA where incremental power comes from NG) to provide the incremental electrons while at the same time Bitcoin mining consumes enough energy to be considered one of the top 20 countries?

Why was providing jobs to produce clean burning (but CO2 emitting) natural gas in the US "discouraged" while at the same time the dark blue states were huge supporters of bitcoin, a technology that was consuming vast amounts of electricity?
Corruption or two clueless segments of the party acting independently?
