Think about it. Let's say that Netscape has 60% share of the browser market, which is probably no longer true. In order for your statement to be true, Navigator users would have to be accessing Yahoo only through the Netscape search facility, using Yahoo only for search, and accessing Yahoo through no other bookmarking or linking method.

On another basis, search is less than half of Yahoo's traffic, so your statement is wrong on this basis too.

Yahoo pays Netscape that $5 million for more than just the preferred search placement. Yahoo also sells the advertising on all of Netscape's website, and Yahoo's payment to Netscape is dependent on the traffic Netscape's site generates.
