Not to keep beating a dead horse, again and again, but there simply aren't enough raw materials available (cobalt, lithium, copper, rare earths, etc.) to produce the batteries and electric motors needed for EVs to totally replace ICE vehicles. The costs and environmental destruction that will occur in the futile attempt to extract enough of them will dramatically escalate, in any case.

Added, the already shaky and fragile power grid simply won't handle the necessary capacity for charging them. Windmills and unicorn farts won't be the answer, either.

Car and truck companies are spewing all electric fantasies that won't happen. And idiot pols in the EU and in CA and in WA (where the greenie moron governor Inslee plans to ban new ICEs in 8 more years) cannot mandate what's impossible to achieve. Attempting to bang square pegs into round holes is the height of irrationality..
