I agree with you that the Fed is likely to surprise the markets on the down side in the next meeting.

What I heard (can't remember the name) was saying that the Fed will cut rates once the inflation comes down.

Some people in the market saw it as opening the door to backpedaling.

But I am rethinking it as the Fed is saying they are ok with raising the rates too high b/c they can always cut them once their inflation objective achieved.

So it becomes a matter of timing and expectations.
