Jim:

The key issues to your question are who knows about TLTK and the success rate of small caps in general. At present very few large investing groups would touch a company like TLTK. They would want to see consistent earnings and stable management before plunging millions of dollars into a company. Some people have previously posted that $5.00/share is the level at which major institutions will consider buying a small cap, but even then they would want some solid earnings and growth. With a relatively small float of ~9 million shares and a market cap of ~40 million TLTK is just too small for a large group to soak up a few million shares. When the company increases it value and float that is when the big boys move in. Second, how many people do you really think know about TLTK? Probably less than 1000 shareholders. It takes time for a company to make the headlines and by then the herd is charging full steam ahead. Just look at what happened to Vitesse (VTSS) last week after Smart Money called it "a small cap head for success". The price went from around $12/share to $22/share. We on SI are not market makers like WSJ, Smart Money, Barrons, etc.. Therefore, what looks impressive here in these forums is only a thin slice of the investing world. I like it that way because it gives us a competitive advantage if we do our homework and make the right bets.
Hope this helps.

David

P.S. Check out the Advanced Gravis (Misc Under $5.00) board for another likely winner.
