I sure think you got that right.

TDS is widespread and contagious.

While Pelosi, IMO, was the driving force behind Jan 6 (she does a great job of staying out of the spotlight, but somehow her fingerprints are everywhere), Cheney is one of the most prominent public faces.

There is a huge personal vendetta going on with her. And there is no way to conclude that her roles have run counter to fundamentals of reasonable leadership. Even if she hated the guy she had a responsibility to put the country first. I struggle to find one time since I became aware of her that she did that.

In the Jan 6 incident, the most telling single item is that Trump notified the Sgts at Arms four days before the riot, a Saturday, that National Guard troops were needed because he had credible intelligence that there could be violence on the 6th. He told her that. Bright and early Sunday morning Trump was informed that no such troops were being considered. Had those troops been made available, Jan 6 would have been entirely peaceful rather than 95% peaceful.

It is entirely personal with her.
