I think someone who got caught in the drop from above $30 has lost interest in Oracle and feels the stock has recovered enough to move on. Fair enough.

Oracle still looks incredibly cheap compared to other profitable software and database firms. Compare a trailing p/e of 37 for Oracle to 120 for Baan or 96 for Peoplesoft.

Oracle is not declining in price only flat-lined until the seller emptys their coffers of stock. I think it clearly continues upward from there. It is disconcerting to see the stock stalled during a record Dow day, but I think its very temporary.
